Here are the first shots of the handheld version of Need for Speed Underground, EA's urban arcade
racer.
Not only do you get to take a spin around cities in standard street racing affairs but the game also features
drag racing.
For those who aren't familiar with drag racing, it's a short-dash-mental-speed contest where the course
is a simple straight run. Placing first is the problem and you have to go at speeds that make your car virtually uncontrollable.
Losing it in a drag race is like landing a 747 - without wings.
NFSU hosts 20 customisable cars and there are numerous
ways to upgrade the beasts, whether that be for fashion or performance reasons. Of course, you need cash to make those improvements
and plenty is on hand for those good enough to win the various events.
Expect to be burning rubber with Need for Speed
Underground come 19 December.
